Physics Grade IX (Electroscope)

1.      What is the functions of electroscope ?...

-         The functions is to identify whether an object carries electric charges or not.

2.      Mention the 3 part of electroscope !

-         Electroscope cap, electroscope stem and electroscope leaves.

3.    If an positive electric charges moved towards the electroscope cap, what will happened at electroscope ?...

-         It will make the electron asseble in the cap, the positive charges go to the leaves. In this case, the positive charges will make the electroscope leaves rise.

4.   If an positive electric charges moved towards the electroscope cap, what will happened at electroscope ?...

-         It will cause the positive charges in the electroscope cap, it will cause the positive charges in the electroscope to raise the cap of electroscope. On the other hand, the negatif charges in the electroscope leaves conversely, repel each other, causing the leaves to rise.

5.   Explain the process of lightning !

-         Lightning occurs because of a friction between clouds in the air.
